CONTRAINDICATIONS
Please consult your doctor or avoid lash services if you currently have or recently experienced:
Contagious eye or skin conditions (e.g. blepharitis, conjunctivitis, bacterial or viral infection)
Styes (abscess caused by staphylococcus bacteria)
Undiagnosed lumps or bumps around the eye area
Herpes outbreaks, boils, open wounds, or sores
Body or head lice, ringworm, or other contagious skin infections
Claustrophobia (difficulty keeping eyes closed for extended time)
Epilepsy (history of seizures)
Asthma (in extreme cases)
Hay fever / seasonal allergies (clients may feel discomfort due to eye rubbing)
Metal allergy (possible irritation if tools contact the skin)
Trichotillomania (habit of pulling out eyelashes or eyebrows)
Recent semi-permanent eyeliner — must be fully healed for at least 4 weeks
PRE-CARE — BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
To ensure the best lash retention and comfort:
No Eye Makeup — Arrive with clean eyes and lashes. Oils or residue can affect adhesive bonding and lash retention.
No Caffeine 4 Hours Prior — Caffeine can cause eye twitching, which may delay or affect the precision of lash application.
No Alcohol Before Appointment — Alcohol can increase sensitivity, dehydration, and restlessness when lying down for long periods.
Wash with Lash Shampoo — Clean, pH-balanced lashes create a better bonding surface and help prolong retention.
Shower Before Appointment — Avoid moisture exposure for several hours after your service.
No Lash Curling or Lash Lifts within 6 weeks before your appointment.
No Pulling on Existing Extensions — Pulling can cause natural lash loss and gaps.
POST CARE — AFTER YOUR LASH EXTENSIONS
FIRST 8 HOURS — AVOID
Your lash adhesive is still curing during this time. Avoid:
Water and steam exposure (showering, saunas, facials)
Mascara, waterproof eyeliner, or eye makeup
Heat, smoke, or high temperatures (may alter curl or cause flammability)
Oil-based products or removers around the eyes
Rubbing, pulling, or tugging at your lashes
Curling, tinting, or perming extensions
AFTER 8 HOURS — DAILY CARE
To keep your extensions fluffy, clean, and long-lasting:
Cleanse daily using an oil-free, pH-balanced lash cleanser along the lash line to remove oils, debris, and bacteria.
Pat dry gently with a clean towel or paper towel — never rub.
Brush your lashes with a mascara wand each morning to keep them separated and airy.
Avoid sleeping face-down to prevent lash tangling or premature fallout.
Schedule fills every 2–3 weeks to maintain fullness and keep your natural lashes healthy.
RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS & ROUTINE
Day Care:
Spritz your lash wand with Fluff Guard (LashBoxLA).
Rest your finger on the lower lash line for support and brush gently from base to tip in a rolling motion.
This removes oil and buildup, keeping lashes lifted and in shape.
Drooping or tilted extensions are a sign it’s time to book an infill for fresh new sets.
Night Care:
Cleanse nightly with an oil-free lash shampoo (recommended: LashBoxLA Lash Shampoo).
Clean thoroughly along and between the lash line and the full eye area.
Pat dry gently — do not blow dry.
Brush lashes with a clean wand after drying to keep them fluffy and neat.
